COMPANIES, universities and colleges have descended on Queen Elizabeth’s Grammar School to talk to pupils about their career options.
Representatives from more than 50 organisations, including Derbyshire County Council, Derbyshire Police, Whitehouse Construction, JCB and the Royal Navy set up stands at the Green Road school on Wednesday evening to inform the students and their parents.
Universities including De Montfort, Nottingham Trent and Sheffield Hallam were also represented.
The bi-annual event was designed for pupils in years nine, 10, 11 and the sixth form.
Organiser and careers co-ordinator Louise Allen said: “Overall it was certainly considered a success.
“The turnout was good, especially early on in the evening and we had some good feedback from students and parents.
“The feedback from the exhibitors sugests they were also particularly impressed with the students, especially the younger ones, and we see that as a very good sign.”
