TODAY

Ashbourne Camera Club will meet for a competition entitled Clouds, judged by Ashley Franklin, at All Saints Community Hall from 8pm.

Indoor bowls is played every Wednesday from 2pm to 4pm at Hulland Ward and District Millennium Village Hall.

Life drawing sessions are at St John’s Church Hall weekly from 10am until 12.30pm. Admission is £10 including refreshments.

Prize bingo is weekly at Swinscoe Village Hall from 8pm until 10pm and everyone is welcome.

A watercolour art class is with Martin Sloman at Boylestone Village Hall from 6.45pm to 8.45pm. Admission is £8 including refreshments.

Alstonefield parent and toddler group is at the village hall from 9.30am until 11.30am each week.

Hulland Hippos baby and toddler group is weekly at Hulland Millennium Hall from 10am until 11.30am. Family admission £2.

Ashbourne Town Band practise at St John’s Church Hall at 8pm each week.

Ashbourne Tai Chi group meets at Ashbourne Leisure Centre from 10.30am each week.

TOMORROW

A weekly story session for pre-school children begins at 10am at Ashbourne Library.

Edward Bear’s praise and play for babies, toddlers and parents, is at St Oswald’s Church from 10am weekly.

Two sessions of Little Hands music and messy play are at 10am and 11am at Mayfield Recreation Association pavilion.

Bingo is weekly at Hulland Millennium Hall from 7.45pm, eyes down at 8pm.

Bowls is weekly at Hognaston Village Hall from 7pm.

Chameleon mixed voice choir rehearse at the Royal Oak, Hanging Bridge from 7pm each week. New members welcome.

A Farmer’s Market is at Ashbourne Town Hall from 10am until 3pm.

FRIDAY

Live music from Wild McRide is at The George abd Dragon, Market Place, Ashbourne from 9pm.

The Blacksmith’s Arms at Alton hosts an open mic night at 9pm each week.

St Oswald’s Church Choir rehearse weekly at the church from 7.30pm.

St Oswald’s Infant School tots group is from 9am to 11am in term time.

Admission is £1.50 for children and 50p for babies including tea and coffee.

Ashbourne School of Dance freestyle and streetdance lessons are on a pay as you go basis each week during term time.

Ashbourne Town Band learners are at Bankcroft from 7pm weekly.

Ellastone Tots is at the village hall from 9.30am until 11.30am. Admission for children is £2.

A two hour Walk for Health starts at 10am from Ashbourne Leisure Centre each week.

SATURDAY

Social dances offer live music and good company each week at the Empire Club, Ashbourne from 8pm to 11pm.

Uttoxeter car boot is weekly at Uttoxeter Racecourse from 9am until 2pm.

An Antique, collectables and curios fair is at Tissington Village Hall from 10am until 3pm.

The Strangeface Theatre Company present Pinocchio at Alstonefield Village Hall from 6.30pm as part of the Live and Local scheme. Tickets are £8.

SUNDAY

A Traidcraft stall is at St Oswald’s Church Hall each week.

A car boot sale is weekly at The Ostrich Inn, Longford, from 8am until noon.

Ashbourne Town Band practise at St John’s Church Hall from 7pm.

Karl and The Marx Bros perform for The Sunday Music Club at The Dog and Partridge, Marchington.

A Sunday evening quiz is at The Shoulder of Mutton, Osmaston, from 8.30pm.

Bill Oddie Unplucked with Stephen Moss is at Buxton Opera House from 7.30pm.

MONDAY

St Oswald’s Church Choir junior section practise weekly at the church from 6.30pm.

Music Munchkin classes with Sue Pedley offer live music , puppets, stories and games each week at Ashbourne Adult Education Centre at 10.15am.

Praise and play is at Ashbourne Methodist Church’s Century Hall each week from 2pm to 3.15pm.

TUESDAY

Cafe connect, offering support and advice for people who have been bereaved, is held weekly at The Cornerstone in Church Street, Ashbourne, from 2pm until 4pm.

Afternoon Business Link drop-in sessions are weekly at Ashbourne Library.

Young Ashbourne Singers rehearse weekly from 6pm until 7pm at Ashbourne Methodist Church.

Anyone older than eight is invited to attend.

A mum and toddler group is at FitzHerbert Primary School, Fenny Bentley, from 1.30pm until 3.15pm.

Little Hands music and messy play is at the Mayfield Recreation Association pavilion at Mayfield from 10am until 11am.

Hopton Hall near Carsington, is open to visitors for a few more weeks as the snowdrop gardens are now in full bloom.
