Eating seven or more portions of fruit and vegetables a day may help you to live longer, researchers say.

A study of 65,226 men and women showed that the more fruit and vegetables people ate, the less likely they were to die - at any given age.

It is now being suggested that the recommended five a day should be increased to seven.
