VOLUNTEERS are being urged to support a multi-charity Christmas card group by helping in its Ashbourne shop in the lead-up to the festive season.
Cards for Good Causes sells cards for more than 300 charities via a national network of pop-up shops.
Volunteers are vital to help them run smoothly and ensure that the charities gain as much benefit as possible from sales.
Co-ordinator Dianne Jarrett said: "Christmas cards are an important source of funding for charities and volunteers are key to maximising the amount of money each one receives from our pop-up shops.
"Many volunteers return year after year but we always need more.
"If you can spare some time between October and December and are interested in doing something really worthwhile, then please get in touch."
The pop-up shops are run by a manager and open in a variety of premises, including churches, tourist information centres, libraries and within other shops.
They usually open in the six to eight weeks before Christmas.
