POLICE are appealing for witnesses to a burglary at a flat in Okeover Avenue that happened at about 8pm on Monday, March 3.

The occupants of the flat left home at 7.55pm and when they returned at 8.20pm they discovered property was missing.

A black Sony PS3, a Nook e-reader, a ring, necklace and two watches were stolen.

PC Emma Rowntree, who is investigating the burglary, said: “I’d like to speak to a man who was seen in the area at about 7.30pm.

“He was described as white, six feet tall and of slim build.

"He was wearing a grey hooded top with the hood up, black tracksuit bottoms and blue trainers with a stripe.

“I believe this man may have information that would help the investigation and I’m asking him to contact me as soon as possible.

"I’d also like to hear from anyone else who was in the area at the time.”

Anyone with information should call PC Rowntree on 101, or anonymously contact Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
