Police asking for information

POLICE are appealing for help solving two crimes that took place recently in Ashbourne town centre.

A ‘highland bull scratching’ sculpture was taken from a shop without payment on December 16.

The bull is part of the Frith Premier Collection of highland cattle and measures 16cm high by 31cm long, made of bronze.

Theo’s Fish and Chips in Compton was the scene of the second crime, criminal damage.

One of the front floor length windows was smashed by an unknown object.

The event took place between 23.40pm and midnight on Saturday, December 7.

Anyone with information about the missing bull is asked to call Derbyshire police on 101, quoting reference 53074/13.

If you know more about the damage to the chip shop you can call the same number quoting 52374/13.
