POLICE officers from East Staffordshire Local Policing Team (LPT) have released photographs of suspected stolen property in a bid to reunite it with its rightful owners.

The items were recovered from an address in Stone Road, Uttoxeter when officers executed a search warrant under the Theft Act.

Although officers have identified a number of items, they are still searching for the owners of a brass steam engine ornament, jewellery, antique photographic equipment, brass candelabras, and ceramic items.

It is believed these items have been stolen from around the Uttoxeter area over the last six months.

PC Rich Hardy, investigating officer, said: “We would like to trace the owners of these items and hand back property which is rightfully theirs.

“I would encourage people who own such property to check to make sure it is still in situ.

"If not there is a chance this property could be yours and you have not realised it is missing.”

A 43-year-old man from Uttoxeter was arrested in connection with the seized items and he remains on bail while inquiries are ongoing.

Anyone who thinks any of the items are theirs is asked to contact PC Hardy at Staffordshire Police on 101, quoting incident number 42 of January 16.
