Birchbox - July 2013

HELPING us to discover beauty better is Birchbox.

When I want to try out a new beauty product, it’s not always within my budget - especially if the only size available is full size. And to be honest, I am always a little scared I may not like said new beauty product and having 100ml or 200ml of something I am never likely to use again can be a little wasteful to say the least.

With Birchbox, each month I can have a box with handpicked luxe beauty and lifestyle products arrive on the doorstep. Inside the box is another box and inside the second box is a Birchbox drawstring bag keeping all the products safe and secure.

In addition to the monthly subscription services, Birchbox also boasts a first-class online shop so I can replenish my most recent find.

My box contained a Blanc Cachemire Creme De Jour Protectrice (protective day cream); a sample of Australian Grown Chia, a plant-based source of Omega 3 along with a recipe of a Chia Green Smoothie (how healthy will I be?); a Weleda Skin Food Creme; an Instain long-wearing powder blush; an Inkwell Waterproof Gel Liner; a Beauty Protector protect and detangle leave-in conditioner and a Birchbox magazine.

And it’s not just the contents which are a wow — the drawstring bag will be extremely useful when I go away on holiday. It is nice and light and just the right size to put all my travel-size potions in. The inner Birchbox will also come in handy for a number of things including keeping my nail varnishes in one place and not rattling around a drawer in my dressing table.

Birchbox. Monthly subscription: £10 plus £2.95 post and packing. Available from www.birchbox.co.uk
