FARMERS from around the area have been raising money for the Royal Agricultural Benevolent Institution by tasting beer.
The Derbyshire RABI fund-raising committee hosted a beer tasting evening at the Bulls Head in Belper Lane to raise funds and awareness of the charity.
Around 70 people attended the evening and sampled the locally brewed Shottle brewery beer made by Tony and Sue Laven.
A total of £455 was raised for the national charity, which provides practical and financial support to farmers, farm workers and their families during times of need, hardship and support.
The charity is currently receiving a huge increase in calls following bad weather, flooding, animal disease, ill health, debt and bad harvest.
