EVERY now and again I get the bit between my teeth and decide to get baking.

One reason for this latest baking bonanza is the joy which is The Great British Bake Off.

Never mind it being on just once a week – I am convinced the hit show should be on the TV every evening to fuel my appetite for all things sweet and savoury – and then there’s Paul Hollywood.

However, it’s not. So to feed my need for baking, I have joined in the celebrations of National Cupcake Week.

I am not very adventurous when it comes to decorating cakes and my talents really only stretch to butterfly cakes (including jam body), so to bake and decorate a cupcake is quite an achievement for me. Thank heavens for decorating sets and piping bags, say I.

There are dozens of gadgets from The Baking Boutique which will aid ease of decoration, and more cupcake cookery books than you can shake a stick at.

I have found the wonder which is QVC is a must when looking at making baking easier (other shopping websites are available, of course) and here are some of my favourites, courtesy of The Baking Boutique. Take a look at the QVC website, www.qvcuk.com, for the full collection and special offers.
