Shed burglary in Mercaston

POLICE are appealling for information after valuables were stolen from an outhouse in Ashbourne.

Sometime between 6pm on Sunday, June 8 and 9.45am on Monday, June 9 a shed at a house in Mercaston was broken into.

Padlocks to the shed were cut and a number of tools were stolen along with fishing equipment and a quad bike.

The shed was broken into weeks earlier between 10.45am on Friday, May 16 and 10.45am on Saturday, May 17 when a child’s motor cross bike and fishing rods were stolen.

Anyone with information is asked to contact PC Baggaley at Ashbourne Police Station using the non-emergency 101 number.
