ASHBOURNE jockey Jane Critchley rode her horse Donnerouge to victory in the Prix St George (PSG) Area Festival at Myerscough last month.
The victory at the Lancashire circuit saw the duo qualify for the National Championships.
This was Critchley’s third test at PSG level having moved up in September after finishing seventh at the National Championships at advanced medium level.
She said: “I was very pleased with how he coped, it is a big step up to PSG and he took on the challenge, putting in 100 per cent.
Donnerouge was bought as a four-yearold and has been home produced at Denstone Stud near Uttoxeter.
Critchley trains with her mother Felicity Scott as well as Olympian Richard Davison and Gillian Davison.
The pair will now contend the Premier League Shows and head to the National Championships at Myerscough in April.
