
Ashbourne’s second mixed mini red team claimed second place after the latest round of matches in Division Three of the Derbyshire Winter League.
Isaac Harrington, playing at number three, kept a clean sheet all afternoon in both singles and doubles.
Henry Morton, representing Ashbourne at number four in his first external competition won two singles ties and all his doubles matches with Harrington.
Millie Nye and Kitty Scholes-Pryce won an exciting doubles match against Stanton in a 10-9 sudden death finish, both producing exciting tennis over the three hours of play.
At a recent adult Winter League mixed match against New Watchorn, Ashbourne secured a fine 7-2 victory.
Mark Wilson and Susan Longworth won all three sets, Tom Bibby and Ursula Kaul won two as did Ben Sanders and Susie Moore.
