Bridal suite gets fresh new look

Written byThe Lewis Partnership

Stage two of the refurbishment scheme at The Moat House is now underway, with the bridal suite being next on the project list.

Once again, The Lewis Partnership has called upon the skills of Katy Helps at Love Me Interiors in order to create the perfect look. The bridal suite plays a crucial role in a bride’s big day – it is a sanctuary where she can prepare herself, a place to relax and get ready for excitement of the day ahead. But it was also important to Chris that the room had a luxurious yet elegant feel to it, creating a space where the bride could feel truly special.

“I was delighted to be asked to proceed with design proposals to refurbish the bridal suite at The Moat House, following on from the successful works within The Acton Suite, Katy said. “I was very much in the swing of weddings and all they evoke. Initially I worked through provisional concept proposals to depict elegance, a space fitting for a bride and her party to feel special, with connotations of classical iconic language that would transcend across styles but with hints of modernity and contemporary lifestyle expectations fitting of such a venue.

“Developing this concept it became very apparent that the thought process of the user within the space was essential and at every point of planning and styling decisions we have revisited questions such as ‘would this work for the bride?’ ‘What would I expect if it were me?’ ‘How much space is practical?’ Bearing this in mind has allowed us to evolve a scheme that will not only look and feel indulgent and high quality in its detail, but that offers practical solutions for the use of the space.”

Katy has included multiple vanity stations so there will be no fighting over the mirror, layered lighting levels, extra seating requirements and a special place to display ‘The Dress’. The finishes are to be understated with hints of tradition and elements of flamboyance - it’s not everyday you get to lounge in a palace after all!

Of course in addition to the main bedroom the bathroom has also been totally revamped in collaboration with Norton Bathrooms. Katy has worked closely with the team there in order to ensure the layout works as well as possible and includes simply stunning bathroom furniture, ensuring the style and quality of the main suite continue into the bathroom.

Katy said; “I am delighted to have been able to work with Chris Lewis to develop this project to such a high standard and nervously anticipate the completed room and the reactions it evokes.”
