We are delighted to announce that we have a new blogger. Kirsten is an events co-ordinator from Stafford and will be writing regular posts for us on here so do keep checking back for top tips from a woman in the know! Check out her first post here.
I love weddings; I always have, ever since I was a little girl strutting my stuff down the catwalk in the latest bridesmaid fashions at wedding fayres.
You see, years ago my Granny used to own Wedding Care on Mill Bank in Stafford and I was lucky enough to be involved with that. I was a bridesmaid model at all her wedding fayres. That's where I fell in love with the whole idea of weddings. I loved the smiling happy faces and how everyone said that their wedding day was the best day of their lives! I mean, what's not to love? This is where my passion began, from such a young age that enthusiasm has just continued to grow, and that is what brings me here today.
I continued my love for all things ‘wedding’ by helping out at Wedding Care when I was slightly older. Working alongside my Granny, I would help the bride-to-be find their dream dress, always encouraging them to try on a style they thought they wouldn’t like, and more often than not, once they had tried it on, they actually loved it!
I always thought my Granny would be by my side as I planned my own wedding and she would be the one helping me to pick my dream dress, but sadly she became ill and had to sell the shop. Things got worse, and she then lost her battle with cancer. But it's with thanks to my Granny that I have the infatuation I do for the wedding industry and I am so determined to help each bride make their big day even more magical than they ever thought possible.
I made the decision to go to university to study events management, with the vision that one day I would have the job of my dreams. I graduated from the University of Chester in 2010 with first class honours – my Granny would have been so proud, knowing that she was my inspiration. I became an events co-ordinator the moment I left university and worked on a huge range of events. But the time has now come for me to get involved in more weddings – I simply couldn’t stay away any longer! I set up my own blog at enchantedeventsuk.wordpress.com and started networking with hundreds of local businesses to discover the most enchanting and unique solutions to make a bride's big day even more special than she ever anticipated.
I’m so excited to have this space to share with you my ideas and thoughts that may help make your big day even more charming and captivating than you ever dreamed possible.
Remember, always be enchanting, and I will be back soon to share my ideas and thoughts with you.
