MEMBERS of Ashbourne Embroiderers' Guild had a poppy theme for their Days of Stitch event held in the town's library.
The start of Friday's session was interrupted by the power cut that affected some areas of the town.
But, for the rest of the day and on the Saturday morning, a steady stream of people of all ages joined members to stitch.
As well as making poppies, there was the opportunity to chat and to learn about the guild's activities. Members' work was displayed in the library over the weekend.
This has now been replaced by some of the poppies to tie in with the commemoration of the outbreak of the First World War.
The display will remain until the end of August.
The guild wishes to thank the staff at Ashbourne Library for their co-operation in putting on the event and for allowing the poppies to be displayed.
