JOE went Public in last week’s Ashbourne News Telegraph, preaching chapter and verse the stereotype Atheist dogma regarding indocrination of religion to children in schools.

A definition of religion in the dictionary; A pursuit of interest followed with great devotion.

I have a friend who each Sunday, washes and polishes his car with great devotion.

Joe says religion should not be a subject, but suggests, among other things the teachings of Darwin who is an authority on fossils; A soulless object resistant to change.

Sound familiar? He also states that Children should wait till they are old enough and knowledgeable enough to decide for themselves.

Joe does not confide, at what age he decided to follow the faith of Atheinism.

Perhaps it was when he discovered the truth about Santa Claus.

Assuming I'm understanding the dodgy spelling and grammar, this author seems to suggest that we shouldn't be teaching science in schools. He or she also misrepresents atheism and religion in general. Do you really believe that washing one's car is a religion? Atheism is not a religion because it lacks two of religion's defining features: belief in the supernatural and reliance on faith. Perhaps this author should educate him- or herself before commenting on how we should be educating others.
