POLICE are appealing for information following a spate of burglaries in the Marston and Clifton area on the same day.

A window was smashed at the property in Riggs Lane, Marston Montgomery to gain entry. Once inside, thieves stole two Apple MP3 players, a Sony laptop and keys to a vehicle.

The break-in took place between 8.30am and 6.15pm on Monday, June 23.

The second burglary happened sometime on the same day between 8am and 4pm, when offenders forced open the ground floor window of a property on Marston Bank.

Thieves carried out an untidy search of the property and items of jewellery and a leather DKNY handbag were stolen.

Finally sometime between 8.30am and noon would-be burglars attempted to break into a property on Oak Lane in Sudbury, but they were unsuccesful.

Anyone with information about the incidents is asked to contact Matlock CID on 101, or anonymously call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
