ABBOTSHOLME School will be hosting the Historic Rally Car Register Midlands Region 2nd Derbyshire Dales Drive on Sunday, June 1, part of a round of this year's Scenic Tour series.
The route is 130 miles long, and includes two tours which allow drivers and navigators the chance to have a lunch break at the school at Rocester.
Taking in the lesser-used roads of west Derbyshire and mid Staffordshire, the first and southern loop meanders through the scenic valleys of the rivers Blithe, Trent and Dove.
The second northern loop ventures into the Staffordshire Moorlands towards Tittesworth Reservoir before returning to Rocester.
Last year, the inaugural tour contributed towards the region being awarded the Don Pither Memorial Trophy for the Historic Rally Car Register's Area of the Year.
This year's event is open to pre-1990 classic cars and also later classics.
Anyone with a suitable car who would like to enter should complete the entry forms, which are available from the secretary of the meeting, Peter Haynes, via e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org
