DANIEL Diggins married Dr Emma Tomlinson at St Mary's Church, Stanton, on March 22. After the ceremony, a reception "weekend" was held at Alton Castle in Alton for 60 guests.
Emma is the only daughter of Andrew and Glenis Tomlinson, of Stanton, Ashbourne, and Daniel is the eldest son of David and Gill Diggins, of Fence, Lancashire.
Maid of honour was Dr Madeline Wood, friend of both the bride and groom, and the best man was Antony Diggins, brother of the groom.
The bride wore an ivory under-dress with ivory lace over-dress, ivory lace jacket and an ivory lace veil with a gold tiara. She carried a bouquet of silk roses. The maid of honour was dressed in a mulberry outfit and also carried a bouquet of silk roses.
Emma is a former pupil of Ilam School and Ockbrook School, Derby. The couple met while at Emmanuel College, University of Cambridge, where Daniel read chemistry and Emma read medicine. Daniel works in Sheffield as an analytical chemist and Emma is a psychiatrist with the NHS in Leeds.
After their honeymoon in Carcassonne, France, the couple will live in Woolley, near Wakefield.
