Waterloo close the gap

WATERLOO closed the gap on ESC at the top of the Ashbourne Town Darts League when they beat their rivals 6-3 at home.

Tom Fentem had six registers for the winners, while Gav Ratcliffe hit four registers, including a 108 double start for ESC.

The Cock Inn won the final doubles at The Bullets to edge the match 5-4.

Matt Wilson scored five registers, including a 98 finish, and had a 23 dart singles for the Cock.

Sean Jones scored four registers, Craig Upton had a 21 dart singles and an 80 finish, and Lotte Jorgensen an 88 finish for the Wheel during their 7-2 home win against Red Lion (H).

David Paterson had three registers and a 67 double start for Bowling Green during their 7-2 home win against Rose & Crown.

Chris Bates scored six registers for Yew Tree in a 7-2 win at home Nags Head.

Crown Inn won 7-2 against the Vaults, Neil Gerrard scoring four registers for Crown. Paul Weston hit three registers including a 100 double start and Paul Cotton hit an 88 finish on the bull.

In Division Two, Knockerdown travelled to Tiger B and won 7-2, Craig Harrison and Daz Rippon both scoring three registers as well as having a 93 double start.

Shoulder B won 5-4 at home against Waterloo B. Martin Hill had a 19-dart singles for Shoulder, while Robin Penfold scored four registers and had a 20-dart singles for Waterloo.

Red Lion (K) won the last two doubles to edge their home match 5-4 against The Ostrich. Matt Dutton scored four registers for Red Lion.

Shoulder C won 5-4 at home against Denstone Tavern, while Smiths Tavern were 7-2 winners against Wheelies.
