ANYONE learning to speak Welsh is being invited to the Derby Welsh Learners Circle’s Scrabble competition.

The event will be held on the morning of Saturday, March 8 at Derby Friend’s Meeting House, and will be a competition with a difference because it will be using the Welsh Language version of the game.

The group holds a Welsh language workshop on the second Saturday of each month and this time the three-hour get together will be dedicated to the competition.

Group member, Martin Goodman, said: “Last year’s competition was great fun even though it was a bit of a challenge for someone like me who has learnt Welsh”.

The competition is open to any one who speaks or who is learning Welsh.
