AN indie rock band from Ashbourne are working with an independent record company to record their first EP.
Point of Suspense are a five-piece band formed in 2011 and are planning to release their new EP in early April.
Fronted by lead vocalist, 17-year-old Victoria Haslam, the group have been playing live across the region in a bid to get their music out to a wide audience.
The group was originally founded by lyricist and bass guitarist, Rich Adams, 22 along with drummer William Titterton, 21. Now joined by George Titterton, 21 who plays rhythm guitar and lead guitarist Chris Fahy, 17, the band are working on their EP with Sound-Hub records.
The launch of the EP is planned for Thursday, April 11 at Hairy Dog in Derby and are currently working on a music video for the lead single from the EP, No Idea. The group will also be opening the Saturday show at Osfest, a free music festival at The Ostrich Inn, Longford, on July 27.
Rich Adams said: “ We pride ourselves on putting on a great lively show and we try to get audiences involved as much as possible; so come and see us play live, you won’t be disappointed.”
