Some of the top names in alternative music from the past 30 years feature on the bill of a major music festival being held near Derby.
Fresh from five sell-outs in a row, the Bearded Theory Festival returns to Kedleston Hall for a sixth outing from Friday, May 17 to Sunday, May 19.
New additions to the bill announced this week include Northern Irish punk legends Stiff Little Fingers, post-punk veterans New Model Army, 90s indie stars The Farm and Ned’s Atomic Dustbin and Mancunian acid house era DJ A Guy Called Gerald.
They join already confirmed acts including Sheffield indie outfit Reverend and the Makers, folk-punk stalwarts The Levellers, Mercury Music Prize nominees The Hummingbirds and folk star Seth Lakeman.
In addition to the main stage, the festival boasts a second stage, dubbed Tornado Town, as well as the Magical Sounds Dance Stage.
Meanwhile, new additions for this year’s festival include a late night Cabaret Tent located in the camping area and a new location for the Water’s Edge acoustic stage, rechristened The Lock Inn.
