LAUDED at the BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards, duo Tim Edey and Brendan Power come to Derby Assembley Rooms on Saturday.
Adventurous and creative, Edey and Power have both enjoyed successful careers as musicians and performers, earning recognition and demand for their services among some of the world’s top artists.
With their talents combined, the pair took the folk world by storm, taking the Best Duo award at the 2012 BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards, with Tim receiving the gong for Musician of the Year at the same event.
Edey plays acoustic guitar and button accordion and has recorded with Sharon Shannon, Lunasa, and Capercaillie, as well as releasing four solo albums. Mouth organist Brendan Power is an expert traditional Irish musicians who has recorded 15 solo cds as well as working with the likes of Paul Brady, Altan and Sting. The duo are at the Darwin Suite on Saturday at 8pm. Tickets are £16.
