MUSIC, film and humour combine for what is set to be a fascinating night out in Alton.
Guitarist and performer, Richard Durrant presents Number 26 Bus To Paraguay as part of the Live and Local rural arts scheme at Alton Village Hall on Friday, March 22.
Durrant delivers a mix of music and anecdotes as he recounts the journey of his career as a guitarist, starting as an eight-year-old in 1970, taking the number 26 bus to guitar lessons in Brighton. Aided by film footage and specially-commissioned animated short films, Durrant describes his time, 40 years later, as a guitarist touring Argentina and Paraguay where he was honoured guest performer at the country’s bicentenary celebrations. Richard Durrant’s Number 26 Bus to Paraguay starts at 8pm and tickets are £8.50 for adults and £6 for students. The show is suitable for adults and older children and more information is available by telephoning 01538 709222.
