AN EXTRAVAGANT new season of burlesque and cabaret kicks off at The Met Studio next month.
The opening show of Tres Tres Cabaret features a packed line up of offbeat artistes.
The first act to be announced was Scarlett Daggers, a rock ‘n’ roll redhead who is set to get audiences hot under the collar with her unique fire act.
Following on is Chastity Butterworth, a character creation by award-winning comedienne Gemma Whelan, who has just been ranked by CNN as one of the funniest female comedians to watch at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival with her show Chastity Butterworth and the Spanish Hamster.’
Fresh from filming on the latest season of HBO’s Game of Thrones and starring in the West End hit comedy One Man Two Guvners, Whelan brings a wild, witty and brilliantly performed stand up variety act.
Rod Laver and Alexandra Hofgartner aim to enthral audiences with their hedonistic show.
Rod has achieved world records and performed on TV and to cabaret audiences world-wide with his astonishing and unique oral ping pong juggling act, while Alexandra is a multi- skilled artiste who uses aerial performance, physical theatre and striptease.
Their new double act is already in high demand in Europe; an incredible cabaret act harking back to the magical world of 1930s Berlin which is funny, sexy and truly unforgettable.
Completing the line-up is international burlesque star Missy Malone. Missy is a heady cocktail of 1950s bombshell and classic rock chick.
TresTres Cabaret will be hosted by Stage Door Johnny who has run a burlesque night (Kiss Kiss Bang Bang) in Lichfield for five years.
