JOSH Lee got Aztecs off to a tremendous start with a superb goal in their victory over Cobra Oakwood.

Taking advantage of the slope on the pitch, he scored from the halfway line, lobbing the keeper and putting away what was regarded the goal of the season.

Luke Zona tried to echo this with another long-range shot which went just over the bar.

As Cobra advanced, Adam Leigh was on hand to stop them in their tracks, by launching it back down the other end of the pitch.

A double substitution of Owen Bailey and Jack Beresford for Ben Holloway and Calum Wood followed and while they were finding their feet, Leigh remained solid at the back.

Tyler Burton then fired a shot just over the bar.

Jack Beresford worked really hard to create the next goal for Aztecs, with Burton on hand to make it 2-0.

Aztecs increased the pressure, creating a number of chances.

Jack Green launched one attack, passing to Bailey, who found Beresford but his shot hit the side netting.

Another fine delivery from Zona to Beresford's feet again saw the keeper step in and catch the ball cleanly.

Donlan was also just wide of the target before Ben Hololway set up Beresford for Aztecs' final goal of the day.

In the closing stages, Wood was unlucky not to score, as was Holloway, and Ben Johnson pulled off one of many outstanding saves to keep his clean sheet.
