VISITORS at Calke Abbey any weekend before Christmas will be able to catch a glimpse of the house’s Christmas past.
As darkness falls the house and grounds will be illuminated and a tree trail to the church will be lit by candlelight.
Spokesman Alison Thornhill said: “We’re continuing our Calke Christmas tradition with a magical tree trail and illuminations.
“This year we’re opening the doors to the house to explore how the family celebrated with their own traditions through the centuries.
Entry is £4 for adults, £2.50 for children.
