VOLUNTEERS are being sought to help with the running of a talking newspaper service that makes the News Telegraph accessible to the blind and partially sighted.

The Rotary Club-backed, volunteer-run service, which has been producing a talking newspaper every week for around 40 years, is in need of volunteers as some of its current helpers move on.

Each week the service has an editor, recorder and three readers on a rota and the editor will spend around two and-ahalf hours, about every six weeks, while a recorder will be involved for around an hour and-a-half each six weeks on Thursday evenings.

To find out more, or to volunteer to help the service, call 01629 540510 or 01335 346294.
