THE Air Ambulance Service (TAAS) is launching an appeal to attract businessmen and women from the Ashbourne area to donate their lunch hour to support the charity.

As part of the life-saving service’s ‘Power Hour’ volunteering campaign, fund-raisers are invited to fit a volunteering activity into their daily schedule.

The Charity, which runs Derbyshire, Leicestershire and Rutland Air Ambulance and Warwickshire and Northamptonshire Air Ambulance wants to hear from corporate teams and individuals willing to take on a volunteering challenge for an hour.

Jo Payne, national volunteering manager at The Air Ambulance Service said: “We are lucky to have the support of different corporate organisations who find innovative ways to support and donate time to the Charity.

“Their support is invaluable to us and we need others just like them to come on board too.

“Power Hour is a great way to get a taster for something new and help save lives. We need your support to keep us flying so please get in touch if you, your colleagues and company can help.”
