Five new wind turbines proposed for hillside near Brassington

Comments (1)

THE area's biggest ever wind farm could be set up on a hillside near Brassington.

Plans have been submitted for what could become a cluster of five 100m wind turbines on land north of Carsington Water, close to two similar wind energy sites at Ryder Point and Carsington Pastures.

The site's owners claim the development could generate up to £430,000 per year for the region surrounding the site, which would be running for 25 years, as well as displacing around 28,000 tonnes of CO2 annually.

[ "Could generate up to £430,000 per year" ] – Note the words COULD & UPTO, - these are not binding planning agreements. There are many examples of promised community bribes not being paid, while the developers walk off with ££ millions of our money, ( £3.8 million /yr in this case) all paid by increased bills.
