FOR the second time in a week, Derbyshire, Leicestershire and Rutland Air Ambulance (DLRAA) have been called out to a man trampled by a herd of cows in Derbyshire.
A 71-year old man was hurt after being trampled whilst walking in Baslow on Saturday afternoon, just three days after a walker died in a similar event in Ashbourne.
DLRAA received the call at 2:32pm and landed next to the incident 19 minutes later.
The patient was treated for chest injuries at the scene. He was given pain relief and immobilised before being airlifted to Northern General Hospital in Sheffield for further treatment.
The patient’s current condition is unknown.
